Mission

The mission of the Tulsa Public Schools' Library Media Services is to promote the skills, experiences, and confidence that will enable children and young adults to use libraries and information resources for lifelong learning.

Information Literacy:

"'Information Literacy' is the term used to describe the ability to access, derive meaning from, evaluate and communicate information efficiently and effectively. The district is not responsible for changes in the content of the sources to which we link nor for the content of sources accessed through secondary links. It is impossible to guarantee that data on the Internet is accurate, therefore, when evaluating Internet sites use the TPS guidelines.
